Run;
run, seek after the heavy metal basin
filled with dripping armor
coat your broken heart, over and over
hide away, some where safe
any where safe
don’t pick up the sharp object
that will cut to the core of your soul
instead,
dig deep inside of your character
learn to love what you hate about you
run away, but come back
let your very being weep for your loses
but count your gains
because eventually, it will out weigh the pain
sulk and sleep away your days
but, inevitably time will color your hair gray
and you will have to pay
for each and every way
you chose to live
as you sit and carefully caress
the soul no one else wants to touch
as you stitch it up, and set it in that bleak hollow box,
to bury -
think about life away from your circumstances
- dream -
and do what seems
impossible
run
